Dr. Arjan de Visser is a professor at the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Ontario. His area of study is called Diaconiology, which includes the study of preaching, mission, worship, and pastoral care. He also directs the internship program of the theological students. Before he became a professor in Hamilton, Dr. deVisser worked as a missionary in South Africa. Originally he was born in The Netherlands. He likes to play organ in church and piano at other places.
Mrs. Inge deVisser is a part-time teacher at Covenant Christian School in Flamborough, Ontario. In her “former life” (life before marriage) she was a lecturer at the Reformed Teachers College in The Netherlands. She wrote several books on Christian education. She was also active in evangelistic outreach. Some of her children’s books have been translated into English, for example Come Join With Me in the Worship Service. Her main hobbies are biking and reading.
Dr. & Mrs. deVisser have three children who are all in post-secondary education. They are all members of Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church in Hamilton.
