LIVING UNDER THE REIGN

Topic: The Kingdom of God

Date: Wednesdays, September 2013 – November 2013 7:30 - 9:30 pm

Lecturer: Rev Rob Schouten

Place: Aldergrove Canadian Reformed Church

The gospels tell us that when our Lord Jesus Christ began his ministry he proclaimed the good news that "the Kingdom of God is near" (Mark 1:15). Right to the end of his life on earth, the message of the Kingdom remained central in the words and deeds of our Savior. However, is the message of the Kingdom central in our lives as Christians? In this course, we will focus on  discovering the meaning of the Kingdom of God. We will look at the Old Testament background and at the New Testament fulfillment in the words and deeds of Christ. Topic receiving attention will include the stages of the kingdom, the parables of the Kingdom, the signs and wonders of our Lord, the ethics of the Kingdom, the Kingdom of God and politics as well as the coming of the Kingdom in its fullness and glory. Come and join us for a time of going deeper into the message of redemption.
