We believe in God and so we believe the Bible, God’s Word. But what is the Bible? How did it come to be? How did it get to me? Why does it have such authority? Which books belong in the Bible and which don’t? What translation should I use?
To explore answers to these and similar questions the Reformed Bible College offered a course in the early Fall of 2015 entitled God’s Word in Writing. Topics covered included: human authorship; manuscript history, textual criticism, the formation of the canon, the authority of Scripture, and English Bible translations.
